Quite honestly, that is just disgusting and that is a prime example of
why people are fed up. The GSDCA should be passing savings like that on to
the membership. Charge $50 for the week. The GSDCA will still be
profiting a lot of $$, but the membership will be saving $$ and will be
grateful for

To me this is rather disturbing and I'm guessing from the email excerpts
above it is to others also. I understand that everyone is hurting
financially, including the club. That said, I don't recall anywhere in the
minutes
regarding the National Specialty show that there was a discussion of charging
the membership extra for items that were secured by the club that was either
free or at a price less than was charged to the members. Is this an item
that is voted on by the Board? According to the minutes I see nothing
mentioned about the difference of what the club contracted price-wise with the
national facility/host hotel versus what the membership is charged. I would
think a decision like this would warrant some discussion as it directly
affects the financial aspect of the National and all those that participate.
