What about the breeders that sell these puppies to
newcomers, that do not know any better, and when the
owner of the pup asks the breeder for advice, the
breeder tells them that they are "SHOW QUALITY" and
they will win in the Show Ring? It is a vicious
circle!

I would hope that the majority of breeders sell puppies like this because
they don't know or reconize these faults/problems. Sometimes I think that
exhibitors have seen so many of these faults and then watched them being
awarded that it may have become "acceptable and status quo". It is amazing
to see the reaction of other breed people when they see some of our
Specialty winners, (certainly not all of them)walking(dragging their toes,
etc) around the grounds of the large all breed show grounds after receiving
a big win at the supported GSD Specialty held in conjunction with the all
breed show.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the GSDC of American could put together a great
Education Seminar that would be presented throughout the country? All breed
judges would benefit too. Maybe Dave's Seminar and othersused in the past
could be utilized. My dream for more education.
