I would have to agree that most pet people don't bother to register Fluffy.
They do not see the point when they don't plan on showing.
AKC should dream up something to attract the pet owners (who won't be breeding
their dog) to register their dogs rather than 'fill the gap' with puppy mill
puppies.

well, at least 50%
of the folks hadn't bothered to register. Guess those forms are just
sitting in the owners' drawers somewhere w/ the puppy packet stuff....
