Because we would be promoting a fault.

And please, I KNOW dogs w/ faults of gait are put up etc., but two wrongs
don't make it right.

AND....I don't for a minute buy the "we need them in a breeding program for
correct coats". Having bred dogs that carry/produce coats you get all
sorts of things, some progeny are "correct" some open w/ little undercoat,
cowlicks...the whole spectrum. If someone wants to incorporate them in a
breeding program, swell, and why would they be surprised that a structurally
beautiful animal could produce beautifully? They don't need a class at the
national to make that determination.

So...do we dilute the value of the standard further so that everyone can
play?

Personally I would like to have someone, anyone give me a single valid
reason NOT
to do this. What are you afraid of? In a time where clubs are struggling
to make entries,
the Nationals is lucky to be a 5 pt Major, we want to discourage
participation..are you kidding?
Please give me chapter and verse as to why we shouldn't ?
Or is it that some don't want the "status quo" to change?
