Isn't the reason that that a long coat is a fault is because the coat picks up
burrs etc working in the field as well as becoming waterlogged? The coat is
not suitable for a dog working in the field, tall grass etc.
there are also some who think a long
oat is more faulty because it can become waterlogged...not good on a dog
eant to work outdoors..............

I think some judges do weigh faults...there are also some who think a long
