Maybe if both pasterns were down I would think it was diet but not with just
one down. I have never had to deal with down pasterns but if I had a young dog
with one down I would think it had more to do with constant circling in one
direction.
I prefer a hard dry dog so down pasterns don't seem to be a problem.

I had a vet tell me they were seeing it more and more in different breeds
and even in horses. He felt it was because of the better nutrition in the
feed. Possibly too much of a good thing.
