I don't have time for facebook or other Lists...so I have a question for
THIS List while the volume is low. <G>
Pasterns.
Ed Hill posted about a pup he had with one bad pastern.
For the first time in many many years we have a pup with ONE pastern a tad
lower than the other..

I do not believe in old wives tales or tails, do not pay any attention to
unscientific speculation and do not believe in allegorical evidence or
superstitions- Knock on wood! But Cappy told me years ago to make up a
concoction that had selenium, Maalox, and some other stuff in it and to
reduce their protein intake. So I did and in three days our dogs pasterns
were back up and never came down again. Maybe it was the frogs eyes, or
pinch of wart hog horn or... But it seemed to work.
Our vet said to restrict their activity, but my mother said they needed more
exercise. I told the doctor, but he said NO, his mother said restrict
exercise. So, I am not an expert, but I do know that Cappy's formula worked,
but I can't find the paper anymore. We haven't had it since, which I suppose
proves that our use of the formula kept the down pasterns away forever!
Seems logical, don't you think?
