The futurity is morphing away from its original purpose as a breeders
showcase. It is coming
to someplace else to jockey for position................
I was talking to someone yesterday and we were going back to the times when
there were 20-30
dogs in each class and your eye's had something to compare breeding's to.
It is great to "get wood" when you have beaten 10-20 other dogs to get it, a
bit bittersweet when
there is only 3 in a class.
Would eliminating the pro handlers bring any of you back out to show in the
futurities that are
not now? Would you be willing to either show or have a friend show your
dog...just another breeder
you could exchange the favor with? Or is the win so much the be all end all,
because if it is, we need to
change the thought of this being the breeder showcase..........Molly

Well Molly...........I love my friends dearly and would defend them to the
end.........but not one of them can
run or present a dog one iota better than I can myself....... <G>..........and
I am PRETTY PITIFUL!!! <G>
