Terra,
We actually did this ONE year in the 1980's. Every futurity was on the same
day. Wanna know what happened? The handlers got together and decided who was
going to which futurity and then they went with a string of dogs. I was at the
Mid Pacific futurity when one handler came in from back east with a dog in
almost every class. As I recall he won every class he was in and deserved all
but one of those wins, IMHO.
But after that one year, it was never done again.

I thought the same thing. Also what about the Futurities being held on only
one day all around the country? Seems like the whole idea of a Futurity is
compromised when everyone drives all over the USA showing anywhere and in
any region. The handlers had a fit before because they wanted to be able to
make more money by going to a lot of futurities. Now there are not enough
handlers for all the showing ... maybe we should reconsider going to one day
in the year for all the futurities for a couple of years and see if there is
any improvement.
Thoughts???
