Because.....I seen people get a little too enthusiastic, and strip away, and
after the bath, they are left with a hole where one is not supposed to be,
like on the side or even worse, on the topline. Also, many people do last
minute grooming, and if you were to use the furminator against the grain, you
will do a lot a breakage.
The furminator is not a quick fix. It is an excellent tool, I've been using
it for years. But it doesn't make up for the grooming our guys need on a
regular basis.
