Since yesterday was such a beautiful day, I decided to do some outside
grooming on my guys. They jumped up on the big picnic table and away we
went. I used the furminator on my girl Dana, and it looks like I skinned an
animal in the yard with all the undercoat that came out of her. She also
looks 5 pounds thinner, didn't use it on Jake though, just the double tooth
rake. Boy, the fur that came out of him. Much better out there than in my
house. Of course my husband has a fit that I let it blow all over the yard,
I just tell him that the birds thank me, it's good nesting material.
Like Syd said, it only takes a few minutes to pull all that fur out. One of
the best grooming tools out there. It is quite expensive though. $55.00 a
Petsmart.
