From our second litter when I was a kid, we had to replace him in a second
home. We visited twice, one year and then two years later. He no only
remembered me, he remembered to pee on me both times. The second time I wore
shorts.....

weeks....saw her two years later. At first no recognition, but then I said "pup
pup" a few times and her ears went up and her tail started to wag.....whenever
that happens, I just find it amazing, because let's face it 8 weeks is not that
long to form a bond, but I guess that bond from birth is pretty important.
I've also never bought the notion that dogs don't understand time. Whether you
are gone 5 minutes or 8 hours, the dog doesn't know the difference. That's
bull. My house dog is waiting at the door for me every day when I get home, but
if I get home early, she's still upstairs sleeping in my bed.
