I realize that there have been questions about the formula set out in the Kodak patent due to differences in Ph. MarcWell, I have no idea who it is who could accept a do it yourself version of a patented formula. Actually there are three patents covering Xtol each with examples of formulas in them. Also, I am curious about the source of the questions about the Kodak formula. pH is not trivial to measure, think Ryuji Suzuki may discuss this on his Silvergrain web site. Its possible that the packaged Kodak product is not exactly any of the examples given in the patents, it doesn't have to be since the patent discusses certain principles for formulation. BTW, Ryuji has is own formulation for a similar developer which it is claimed is more stable. It is proprietary.
Xtol patents are USP 5,702,875; 5,756,271; 5,853,964 -- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USAdickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
