It's my intuitive opinion that Pan F is just a tad sharper than the tab
grain 100 films.
Its a one stop difference; Between 50 and 100
- the tab grain is a real advance;
Just not in my opinion a full stop advance;
Maybe a 4/5ths of a stop advance. Sharpness wise.
But an ISO 25 film is really thin film a two stop difference.
And I've used a bunch of it as well in a variety of developers and
dilutions.
Its for sure better than the  100 speed tab grain films;
Which is the slowest speed tab grain films comes in unfortunately.

The first tab grain film to come out was the Kodak Tmax 100 and was said to
replace my then signature film Panatomic X which I felt was mainly a 50 ISO
film even though it said ISO 32 on the box.
It wasn't a replacement for my favorite film.
And didn't even come close in my view. My results being 8x10 and 11x14
darkroom prints.
When they discounted Panatomic I was scrambling as Pan F in my view did not
come close. 35mm Panatomic was silky; even in Rodinal 1:100. Pan F was a
hard film. Skin tones nothing to bring home to meet mom.

I have to say though in 120 Pan F in my view was not that much worse than
Panatomic.
Trouble was those days I shot ten rolls of 35 for every roll of Brownie
film.

Though tab grain films sharpness wise is maybe not quite a stop better most
people think of a combination in terms of results of sharpness and grain.
And when you combine those two Its my view in some cases like a unusual
developer like Xtol 1:3 you move up a stop with your results from films.
I've said this on the lists countless times. But with at least that
developer and I'm sure others some pyro formulas your 400 speed films look
like 100 speed films. And that's two stops isn't it.
I shot a lot of Neopan 1600  Xtol 1:3 and it looked like tri x in D 76 1:1
only better. And that's two stop.
Finer grain and it looks at least as sharp maybe sharper.
You normally don't get both;
Both finer grain and great sharpness you normally sacrifice one for the
other.
In this case you get both.
