I believe the Elmarit, the first all Leica 21mm, was a disappointment to many.
It was replaced by the Elmarit Asph. which is peerless (IME I have not even
seen the new f1.4 never mind used it). I suspect you have been referring to the
original all along, and Mark to its replacement.
So you are both right :-)
