TECOM (Test and Evaluation Command) has always been headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Grounds north of Baltimore.
Aberdeen was TECOM HQ but in 87-89 when I was cross training in Video, I worked in production on the routine video conference (proto-type variety called VENUS...Video Enhanced User System) with Ft. Meade (and Yuma or Dugway I believe). Maybe Ft. Meade had a VENUS studio and Aberdeen didn't? I don't remember.Video Conferencing was much more elaborate then (using a command prompt system) than desktop video conferencing is now. The AMC brass were part of the conference often too. They came in from somewhere in Virginia I believe.
I'm just a happy wedding shooter now. :) Michael --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org
