I may try the Olympus rangefinder first...it doesn't have any holes to deal

Camera Leather kits are self adhesive, they have an
explanation about the way to apply the covering:

You can find more info in the Camera leather FAQ page.
The original adhesive Rollei used and uses is Henkel
"Pattex Classic", but is seems very difficult to find
out of Germany:
