Eric, the Pentacon Six has a focal plane shutter, the Pentacon Six construction allows to use a Biometar 2.8/80 five elments similar regarding the Bimoetar used for the Rolleiflex 2.8B. The Hasselblad 500 does not have a focal plane shutter, the lenses have built-in Compur central shutter and then they require a more complex optical design, a retrofocus design for the normal lens as you wrote. The Biometar 2.8/80 five elements is the standard lens for the Pentacon Six and it has excellent reputation.- Carlos --- El dom 6-jul-08, Eric Goldstein <egoldste@xxxxxxxxx> escribió: > De: Eric Goldstein <egoldste@xxxxxxxxx> > Asunto: [rollei_list] Re: 2.8F opton? > Para: rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Fecha: domingo, 6 de julio de 2008, 11:32 pm > No need to be afraid, Carlos... it will all work out ;-) > > Thank you for the diagrams and the reminder... yes I do see > now the > similarity between the Xenotar and Biometar, but that does > not explain > the second part of my comment.
