FYI Flightradar24 makes use of a network of ground monitoring stations
feeding the received ADS-B signals to their server. Here:

If there are few local receivers online then your data will be inaccurate,
which includes altitude, course, and ID. I live where the mountains
interfere with the received signals. You often see altitude and course
suddenly change as the aircraft goes in and out of coverage, and sometimes
it will draw a dual trace for the same aircraft. You shouldn't really take
the data at face value, it does require paying attention.
This may not be an issue at Lucerne but might be at more remote locations.
Having a local receiver might help.

Maybe you saw the ADSB setup that David brought to LDRS, similar but
better UI.
I keep mine under the table. I also modified the code to alert me when
something is within 4nm
of our launch site. I can give you the patch if you're interested.
