Steve - I have to give way to you on this, as I have been going off memory,
as it has been a long time since I've used an audio disk in my PTR1, always
using data disks. I do hope I haven't confused Bill! -

| Hi Andy,
| Is that right? I've just checked and put a new blank audio CD in the
PTR1.
| It announces Audio Digital CD. Then when I go to RECORDING SETTINGS and
go
| through the options you can have DEFAULT or CUSTOM. You cannot choose 44 1
| PCM Stereo even under CUSTOM as there are no formats offered. They are
only
| available as a choice when you insert a standard VD-R(W).
|
| So I conclude that if Bill is using a MUSIC format blank CD the format
will
| be automatically correct.
|
| Regards
| Steve
