Ok. That's good that is said "music cd." Now then, did you choose 44.1 pcm
stereo from the recording menu? -

| Andy,
|
| Yes, it said "music CD".

| Bill - great that you've made some progress with this.
|
| Are you absolutely sure you used a music cd for the recording? What

|| Dear List,
||
|| Penny, Andy and Steve, you guys have just been great about trying to help
| me, and I do really appreciate it awfully much. A new disk seemed to do
the
| trick; however, I can't get my recording to play on a regular CD player
for
| some reason. It does play fine on the player in my computer with Windows
| Media player, and of course on the PTR1, but not on another CD player. Oh
| well, at least I did get the recording. Thank you, guys, very very much!

|| Hi, Bill, Andy and Penny,
|| This damaged disc thing. I've had it happen on perfectly good popular
| music
|| CDs and then it clears up for no reason!. However a few thouights:
|| 1. If Bill is visually impaired like me, could it be that the disc is
| going
|| in face up instead of face down?
|| 2. Are there finger marks on the disc? A light wipe with a damp cloth
|| working from the outer edge towards the centre may help..
|| 3. CD-RWs can, I find, be more problematical than CD-Rs.
||
|| However, I'd suggest starting again with a Maxell or Sony MUSIC 80min
| disc.
||
|| Regards
|| Steve
