I can confirm that the binary should run on Ubuntu 8.04.
It did for me before I upgraded to 8.10 and the latest version still
does.
And when I say latest I mean the one that Santa or the New Year Elf
might be binging along soon.
Not for me to say the exact date.
One other thing for clarity I'm talking about the 32 bit version of
Ubuntu.
