Yeah, when I was going to school females in the industry were hard to come by.
There was literally like 3 females out of bunches and bunches of geeky gamer 3D
nerds. It was cool though cause I am just as much of a gamer nerd. Brigitte was
like the coolest lady I had met, and she did game stuff too. She is really
really pretty too, which is fairly uncommon in the game industry.

Yeah Surreal is a kickass company.

My old Mentor/Instructor Dave Benton used to facilitate the animation stuff
there on the side. His girlfriend worked there, Brigitte, she was awesome and
French I think. But he worked for Softimage back in the day, so he would help
out around the place.

A guy I used to go to school with, JD Scrapper, was working there back in the
day. Don't know if he is still there, but he started out doing lighting and
moved his way up.

yeah totally, not many people are willing to risk being very inovative because
so much money goes into games now days the cost of failure is huge

i think all the publishers / investors just see a game like GTA or nintendogs
or guitar hero do well and say "make something like that so we get a peice of
that action" and bam we have a bunch of clones.

The last company i was at i kinda felt like they werent willing to be very
innovative, but that kinda seemed like it was changing by the time i left.

this company here is charting their own course in unfamiliar waters which is
nice to see (:

Yeah I haven't been able to really get into games since the Super NES. Its just
not the same. XBox is okay sometimes, but games don't have the ingenuity and
depth of some the old schoolers. Its all about the next gen stuff, which seems
to be regurgitations of previous next gen stuff.

I think Super Nintendo was one of the greatest gaming platforms. I think the
games that came out during that time were the most fun to play. Playstation and
Playstation2 are a close second. With that said I think the Super NES versions
of all the classic nintendo games are the best. I think A link to the past is
the best Zelda. Super Metroid is the best Metroid. Super Mario World (which is
tied with Mario 3) are the best Mario games. Super NES even produced the best
rpgs randing from Crono Trigger to the Final Fantasys

If you have played Sly Cooper, its exactly the same, besides the theme.

Game play and all is JUST like sly cooper.

WEIRD, my boyfriend and friend Jay aren't too impressed with it. =(

I don't have any of the next gen consoles, but I'm thinking about getting a ps3
just to play infamous, it looks stellar.

So, I'm not exactly an expert on the next gen wave in the slightest. I know
would beat the crap out of any of them a dark alley though.

those are some damn good titles, i'd argue that at least partially to blame is
poor execution? :P

but you might be right... those IPs might be getting a lil aged or somethin

nintendo's online features suck too

basically no communication allowed unless you have manually entered the other
persons 16 digit code as your friend

why even have multiplayer?  you might as well be playing against bots :P

Nintendo has been screwed since they decided metroid zelda and mario were the

nintendo is either gonna have to put some power into their next console and/or
come up with something even better if they want to stay alive in the next
generation I think.

It kinda isn't lookin good for them with this comin out IMO :P
