  No I did not have the resource meter installed. Did a search on it and had to 
install it with Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/Windows Setup.
  I never used it before because it I don't know what to do with it. It's there 
now on my taskbar.

I have windows ME, and to get find system resources go to start> 
programs>accessories>systemtools>resource meter... I think if you click on it 
it will put it in your system tray & you can watch what programs , ect that 
will make your resources drop. Hope that helps.

There is, in WinMe. I don't have it in my mind where to access it!!  I 
have Me and it's not accessible from where MJH suggests below.  Somebody 
will help.
