Had McAfee until they screwed me out of 3 months of my
subscription for a year and so I changed to Nortons based on
this list and the blue screens of death I used to get. Well
Norton's System Works took care of all my problems -- and
continues to do so; therefore, I will continue with this
version of it and just pay the same price as I did to McAfee
for the live updates.
Besides Norton's updates happen easily and McAfee was a pain in
the tush -- had to go to their site. Of course that was over
two years ago -- that may have changed.

I have McAfee VirusScan online for many years...... haven't had
a virus
(MonkeyB) for over ten years. I make sure I check for updates
regularly. I don't take candy (or downloads) from strangers.
I usually forget to scan files I download myself or from
friends.
McAfee has two versions.
