I do not know much, but have you tried a program named CleanUp! It does a marvelous job. It cleans out temp files and you can set it to clean out any folders you would like it to clean up. It can rid you from your cookies...IF you want to...... It is FREE! If you are interested, here is a link with more info and a lint to download it. http://cleanup.stevengould.org/ You do have to reboot before a few of the temp files that were being used while cleanup was running can be deleted. Hope this helps... I AM sooooooooooo tired of this problem I've had for months and nobody here has helped me when I brought it up 4 other times. Judith I have IE 6.0 with Win XP Home as OS on a Gateway. I can't get my computer to give up the cache for several days even though I have used the Internet Options and cleared everything. Now if I don't go to my web sites, do changes, ftp them up -- then I can see the changed pages. But if I go to my site first, then I can't see the changes I've made for several days. Now I have even gone into explorer.exe and looked for any temp cache files. Nothing. So I googled and it said maybe an index.dat file might be causing this? Does anybody know how I can correct this?
