Restarting the router did not help.  Unless you guys have a better 
idea, the next step, unfortunately, is to do a hard reset.  (%^&*)

Since the desktop (via ethernet) and the old laptop (wireless) have no 
trouble connecting, is this a Vista problem?  Did I forget to install 
something?
