John, I see the 'tree' in startup control center. It lists two things. Autostart and Registry. Under autostart, new users, it has one entry, that of Zonealarm.lnk. I WANT to keep zonealarm. I prefer it to run at startup. Under Registry, all users, Run services, it lists: TrueVector. I assume that goes with the vsmon. So, I unchecked that. I rebooted, and I still have the same problem. VSMON caused an illegal operation. Re-Na Hanson / Arkansas USA --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
