We now run the whole lot OMS + DB on a single VM and use the virtual
infrastructure to provide resilience between hosts and data centers

means an existing RAC cluster with DataGuard - or an HA Virtualization
platform .

You could even put it on a platform with *higher* availability - for
example using single instance, simple stack to monitor RAC with its
very complex multi-tiered stack. ;)
