along back of neck; black under chin down front of neck: soft gray back
and folded wings with barring features; seems confident feeding with Dusky
and minima Cackling,for size comparison;f white tail seen well as actively
feeding and moving around. With flock of Canada Dusky with 1 having red
collar at the time and Cackling minima mix and one Snow Goose. 1/4 mile
past Rentanauer Rd. and access road. Seen from Reeder Rd scoping. Massive
Cackling flock in same area and all brought up by movements of Bald Eagles
and possibly Peregrine Falcon we heard calling at one point."

- Comments: "Female type by itself. Seen at some distance. Lack of high
contrast between pale reddish-brown head coloration and grayish body
coloration was the main ID feature, as the colors appeared to blend
together. Bill appeared a little longer and thinner, and there was a hint
of a wispy Crest, but these features were somewhat difficult to completely
make out due to distance. Finally, the overall jizz favored RBME over COME."

Brewer's). Bill straight, pointed, med-length, typical of smaller
icterids.
Located across the street from the Post Office, about 40 yards to the West,
between the street and the pond. "
