In the early nineties, before Mt Tabor Pk was opened to off-leash dogs, a
policy later revised, there were Ring-necked Pheasants living there. I
lived a block from the eastern edge of the park. It was not unusual for a
cocktail pheasant to display on the roof of my house. The most peculiar
thing was to see one walking down the sidewalk toward 82nd Ave. Where was
it going?

nuthatches at 5K+ feet in the high cascades of Douglas County in a
lodgepole pine forest.
