Several years ago I was having an early morning coffee with friends at a little
coffee shop in downtown Dallas when a fledgling Green Heron came walking
through the open door to the shop. I walked over slowly, gently picked it up in
a towel the proprietor handed me and the drove it back to the nearest part of
Dallas City Park where Rickreall Creek slowly winds its way through town.
‘‘Twas a strange experience indeed. However, my vote will always be the
Wandering Tattler in my and my neighbor’s driveways.
BTW, I have no memory of seeing the photo Alan posted of me and my Tattler.
That was fun, thanks Alan. ( I had way more hair back then :) )
