well I have no idea.... try it and see. I currently use a cable modem, so I can't try out the GV I have here too easily... (would involve reinstalling ppp, etc). Anyway, what is this ARA version 4 thing? I have no idea. I know I've used my USR modem under 9.1, and I am pretty sure I've also used the GV336, but it's been a long time, so don't know for sure. Too bad if they don't work... I've always liked their smaller footprint. (although the lights on the USR were better to work with) >At 12:42 PM -0500 3/26/03, Alex wrote: > >>I've used a GV modem in OS9, it was a serial modem tho. > >OS 9 dot what? tho', Alex... > >There is some indication that GV external modems worked up to 9.0.4, >and then, with the advent of ARA version 4 in OS 9.1, they no longer >worked because GV (and the outfits (Boca Research and Zoom) that >subsequently acquired their modem biz) never developed a script that >would work past ARA version 3.x. > >So, do you know if your GV (serial) modem works with OS 9.1? > >Mary > > >_________________________________________________ > >For information concerning the MUGLO List just click on > > http://muglo.on.ca/pages/members.html#Joinmuglo > >Don't forget to periodically check our web site at: > > http://muglo.on.ca/ -- ------- Free yourself from auto dependence... http://www.carbusters.org _________________________________________________ For information concerning the MUGLO List just click on http://muglo.on.ca/pages/members.html#Joinmuglo Don't forget to periodically check our web site at: http://muglo.on.ca/
