Nope...uninstalling and reinstalling does not give you a new normal.dot

What operating system are you using? In the later versions of Windows,
normal.dot is a hidden file...you need to go into Windows and reveal the
hidden files before you can search for normal.dot....do you know how to do
that? If not, let me know which version of Windows it is and I will tell
you.

Hello Linda,

I've been unable to get back to my normal routine with my seniors until now
so this is why it is been so long since this last post. This problem has
not improved.

I ran a find & it could not find the file normal.dot. In frustration I
uninstalled the entire Office software & reinstalled it hoping that would
make the difference. Well, much to my surprise, it did not change anything.
Every time she clicks on 'new' document she keeps getting a copy of the same
letter that she did months ago. Please, try to get her back to normal.

Thanks,
Jan
