Tina, I followed the directions to make Outlook No Preview like this:

I right clicked on my desktop and selected New, Shortcut.  Then I did 
Browse to where Outlook.exe is & clicked ok. The in the shortcut address, 
after the " mark, I typed a space  /nopreview.  Then I renamed the shortcut 
to Outlook No preview.  Then I deleted all the other shortcuts for Outlook, 
one on the desktop & the one in the quick launch bar.  I put a short cut to 
Outlook No Preview in the quick launch bar.  Now I never get the preview 
pane. You can do it!  I know you are a master of FrontPage & that is a lot 
harder!
