Julie: What could have America have done at the 300,000 mark of murdered Jews done to prevent the following 5 million and counting?

The pacifists in Congress at the time had passed legislation against our involvement in the European carnage. We had a fifth-rate army and little inclination to get involved, though FDR tried to send Britain some old military supplies. In fact, in our usual self-critical mode, modern historians blame FDR for being slow to react to the Holocaust, which he knew was occurring.

Had we military power comparable to today's, we could have stopped the Holocaust immediately. Provided the isolationist Congress would have gone along with the idea.
