M.C. Guess you must be right, Eric. There are gazillions of white people ready and willing to scrub toilets, wash dishes, pick fruits and vegetables, etc., etc. Therefore, there are no jobs for illegal aliens. Therefore, there are no Mexicans paying coyotes to help them cross the Rio Grande. ____ Mike, There certainly are plenty of unemployed U.S. citizens (of all ethnicities) who would do such work. I was one of them. However--and this was my point--citizens wouldn't stay at such jobs long, but illegals are trapped into them for the duration. The problem isn't UNWILLINGNESS OR LAZINESS OF WORKERS IN INDUSTRIAL NATIONS, but that (U.S. and European, etc.) employers want people who will remain in menial jobs, trapped by their illegal status. It's the domestic management side, not the domestic labor side, that crave illegal workers. To say illegals are necessary because French or American laborers are "too good" or "too finicky" for the jobs is incorrect. A program could be created to use young people from South Central LA to pick all the US fruit--however, the fruit growers want people who would stay at the job, season after season, doomed to servility.
