It's a hate thing. The majority of voters hate people who use big words, 
display metacognitive process, cite literature and science, or dress in 
tuxedos. 
Bush wants the NASCAR crowd to like him and the NASCAR crowd hates the grad 
school crowd. 

Why do you think Gore is screaming lately? To serve as an iconic reference 
for the left wing hate, and to distance himself from the robotic professorial 
image he created during the debates.
