Thanks!

I was mainly interested to see whether your approach to some things could
be adopted or whether any of the functionality you added could be useful
for others.

Ideally I would of course like to merge our efforts into a single project
that meets everybody's needs. I have been wanting to do that with
liblouis-java and jlouis, but the need for me personally was never high
enough. In all three projects I can see some stuff that the others don't
have. And I can definitely see the benefit of moving to something JNI based
if possible because the less dependencies and the more cross-platform the
better.

Will you make your code publicly available at some point so we can have a
look?

Done: github.com/DaveMielke/liblouis-android.git

The Java source is in: src/org/liblouis/*.java

The C source is in: jni/jni.c

jni/liblouis-c is a git subtree of the liblouis source.

Let me know if there are any features that you think should be added.

Let me know if there's any interest in this code being generalized for all
Java
users.
