Good Day all,

In fact, I am one of those who is still thinking to convert R-lens to
Nikon-mount using Leitax.
But I have not seen any photo using that on Nikon D300 (I bot one few mths ago).
I have seen many are using D700 for R-lens (via Leitax) due to it is Full Frame
(R-lens is "full frame")..................the result ? Fatanstic !
Meantime, I hold on my R-lens (might convert if photo taken by D300 is almost
same quality as D700)

on the other hand, I do read one advertisment by SHPhoto on LFI. It said that
is an adapter (not Leitax) for R-lens to Nikon Digital camera use (anyone aware
of this).

regards,

p/s: David, long time no chat...:) how are you doing ?

      4) The last option is to convert your lenses to Nikon mount with the
LEITAX mounts. Several people here (Howard Cummer springs to mind) have done
this with numerous lenses, and they results with the D300 & up are fantastic.
The conversion is reversible, but you need a mount for each lens you have - so,
more expensive than adapters, but a better fit.

Not all lenses can be mounted - I am selling my 24 Elmarit R for that
reason BTW - for mirror clearance issues; Leitax confirmed this to me.
So better check before you buy. Leitrax seem to be honest people,
acknowledging they had not converted Angénieux's so far.

  Hi Philippe!

From this, do I take it that you've decided on the Lei-tax/Nikon route for
your next camera?

Howard seems very happy with his setup, and the results look stunning!

  Cheers!
