Welcome to the mad house, John.
I too fly the iFly 737 (FSX mainly), and I am at present working through
the IFR 'A' tour.
I live just up the road from you (I expect), in the South Side of Glasgow.
Always remember the golden rule "If you can't beat them, you may as well
join them"
