My experience has always been that the latest drivers always make things worse. Since 2005 about 5 computers down the line I have never upgraded any nVidia or ATI drivers and have never had display problems. Before that, some kind chap, while installing a new HD for me "as a favour", said, "while I'm here, I'll upgrade your video driver". FS9 never ran on that machine again. "It would best to reformat the hard disk", I think someone here (Frank F?) said, so I sold the machine as being the lesser of two pains. (The other one in the wallet). I am also sticking with XP as long as the coal seam lasts. No one ever reports that FS doesn't run under Windows XP but runs like a dream in Win 7. Now where's my tinderbox...
