Hi
The only way you can use hotmail with OE now is if you pay for the
service.

guys, unless you don't use hotmail for e-mail, this will not effect you.
Outlook express isn't just gonna die. Also, hotmail does not use the pop or
imap protocol but more rather uses a variant of http. So, you shouldn't
worry if you don't have hotmail. BTW, if you do have hotmail, switch over to
gmail, its free, accessible with basic HTML with earlier versions of jaws,
and fully accessible in the ajax view with jaws 9.

  Chill out man!!!
  orhan.

Outlook Express will not just die. It's like anything else--DOS isn't
even dead yet! There are still ppl out there using 98. It's not that we
all have to switch over or something bad will happen. If there isn't
anything on the website from Microsoft, I'm not buying it.

      hi,
why must do all this trouble? it is a fake or not, sooner or later we
also have to stop using outlook express, so why not start to learn a new
email client?

Hello Catherine. The best thing to collect more information is you
send us here in this list the message's headers.
At this purpose, do the following:

      1. browse your Outlook Express inbox folder and reach the message you
received by Microsoft.
      2. don't press Enter, but alt-enter, to view its properties.
      3. press control-tab to read the Details page.
      4. now, activate the virtual viewer by pressing control-insert-w.
      5. go at the top of that window typing control-home.
      6. type shift-control-end to select the whole text area, then press
control-c to copy the text.
      7. press esc to close the virtual viewer, then create a new message
pressing control-n.
      8. in the "To:" file,d put our list's address, then in the body paste
with control-v the previously copied text.

Having the headers I'll be more able to try to know if it was spam or
a true communication.

      Bye

      Stefano
