When it crashes and comes back and a sited person can tell you that will come back in safe mode if you continue. 


Let it do that then reboot once more and it will be normal.

Been there done that.

That is why if you should have a crash and it comes back up in safe mode just reboot and it will return to normal.

Sorry, no disrespect intended. If it worked for you, then fine. I just
question what "safe mode" has to do with Tom's situation. I didn't want him 
chasing down something with no relevance.

Could your experience with this problem and the "safe mode" aspect be
related to running JAWS in demo mode?

this is meant to reply to sender with luck I think for some reason using Outlook express and xp the focus is lost and whilst I thought insert and F4 turned Jaws off often just exiting the programme with Alt and f 4 wich is normal to exit a programe Jaws gets confused and thinks you mean to turn it off,I have had to reboot as well but in order to keep focus it is boring butoften just press windows M to get back to desktop it must be a weakness in focus since recent downloads, alt and f 4 is so often the right way to leave a programme but not to close it down,the others will

Hi, all.
I have a nagging problem with Jaws 11, that I could use some help with. 

On my Dell Lattitude 610 laptop computer, with Windows XP, I often
completely loose Jaws when exiting out of applications like Microsoft 
Word
and Outlook Express.
I don't understand why this happens, nor do I know how to get Jaws back 
once
it's lost, which causes me to have to do a hard shut-down of the
computer
when the problem occurs.

Any helpful suggestions here would be appreciated.
