It is a dell laptop with 1 gig ram and the processor is: IntelR CoreT 2
Duo
T5500 Processor (1.66GHz,667MHz,2MB L2 cache). I have a 120 gb hard drive.
I
have this problem with jaws when only jaws and AVG are running as well as
the mouse pointer and the network connections showing up in the system
tray.
I did think maybe upgrading the ram could help but I know of someone using
zoom text with 2 gb ram who has a similar problem so not sure that will
help. The computer itself is running fast with 1 gb ram as well. Hope htis
helps.

Hi,
I have just brought a new laptop which has vista premium on it and I have
upgraded jaws and installed the latest version. I was wondering if anyone
else had been finding that jaws was slow at times especially when typing
characters into word, email or programmes like live messenger. Currently
there seems to be about a 2 second delay between typing a character and
hearing it spoken. I haven't seen any messages about this in the archives
so
don't know if it is not a common problem and if it is, does anybody have
any
ideas of settings I could change?
