Hi,Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I've made most of the changes to vista settings though in display settings I couldn't find anywhere where it could be set to classic mode. Interestingly after altering the resolution slightly (I couldn't get exactly the same numbers as recommended), jaws speeded up slightly with navigation. One interesting thing I've noticed is that if I am in a vidio call over msn Jaws' responsiveness seems to also speed up slightly. there is still a delay but not as much as when I'm not playing vidio. Any thoughts on this? If it is a driver or vidio intercept problem as some people have suggested, is there anything I can do to attempt to resolve this?

Hi folks, I recommend the following: Change the system parameters to the following: * Display: Windows Classic theme, 1024 by 768 pixels, Adjust for Best Performance * Personalization; * Theme, Windows Classic * Color and Appearance: Windows Classic All of these will be found in Control Panel. It might be due to either video intercept or keyboard echo problem. I wouldalso suggest that you submit this in Vista Public Beta Feedback Form found at Freedom Scientific's website. It happensin all applications, even when typing a URL into Internet Explorer. He has aPentium dual core processor running at 3.0 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. He is running beta 2 of Jaws 8. He would welcome any fixes or suggestions. I was wondering if anyone else had been finding that jaws was slow at times especially when typing characters into word, email or programmes like live messenger. Currently there seems to be about a 2 second delay between typing a character andhearing it spoken. I haven't seen any messages about this in the archives so don't know if it is not a common problem and if it is, does anybody have anyideas of settings I could change?
