Hi,

I don't seem to be having any problems with the update which I installed
lastnight. It is all working just fine on my end so far. I am using
windows vista in outlook 2007 and all is well on my desktop.

Matthew

Yes, I agree with you. JAWS 8 was very bad under Vista, but thanks to the
9.0.552 and any other previous builds of JAWS 9 I can quite happily use JAWS
full time, but not with this new build, sorry. Guys I've reported this to
Freedom Scientific. If it's ok with the moderators I'll forward any
responses I get. Hope this helps, and for now stay with JAWS 9.0.552 until
they've released a patch, if they can duplicate my findings that is.

That typing sluggishness you mention I had to deal with a lot in the 8.0
version, but since upgrading to the 9 version (not today's update), typing
has been quite responsive. It was so bad in 8.0, it would sometimes take 4
or 5 seconds for a character or word to be spoke if I wanted to backspace or
read text I was typing. I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing this
issue with the new update before I go ahead and install it. I'd hate to go
back to dealing with that annoying delay.

Hi all, I've just updated to the latest version, and I'm not impressed with
it. First, Eloquence now sounds as if there is a very short echo, a bit like
a chorus. Second, when composing an HTML message in Outlook 2003, JAWS can't
keep up with my typing speed; it just grinds to a halt for a few seconds
then come back up again. Think I will notify Freedom Scientific and revert
back to 9.0.552. However, has anyone else experienced these problems? If so
how did you fix them? I can't duplicate the problems using JAWS 9.0.552 as
the latest build only produces these problems. Thanks in advance. Oh yes,
finally, JAWS seems to be slightly sluggish when I'm typing, and this
message is only in plain text! Thanks!
