I regularly have to resort to this technique, though how a site can be
considered professional without a search facility is lost on me.
Especially as the webmaster can set it so that google does all the hard work
for them.

n.b. Don?t get me started on sites that don?t have permanent pages and/or
put everything in frames. Spawn of the devil comes to mind.
