These buttons are for Windows and maybe MAC software only, as there
is suitable software required to embed whatever you scan into the
PDF format.
Pressing one of these button just signals what you may want to the
scanners (Windows/MAC) software package. All the real work is then
done by software in the computer, not in the scanner.
