Hi,
i don't know why u want to format ur system as reiserfs. u might have
ur own reasons for that.
We require reiserfs on the /home partition as it holds millions of smallfiles
less than 0.5 Mb in size; and reiserfs is supposed to be good at performance if
one has large number of smallfiles.
Reiserfs doesn't fully support SELINUX context and breaks down. so if
u plan to run selinux which is enabled by default choose EXT3. esle
continue....
i need to clarify here that i require /home partition only to be on reiserfs
and not all the partitions and that i needed kernel support for it. we chose to
disable SELINUX.
After compiling the kernel module, do i need to recompile mkfs ? to add support
for reiserfs?
regards,
KM
